About Professors for Quality Education (PQE)
Professors for Quality Education (PQE) is a faculty-led group dedicated to supporting high-quality teaching and promoting an equitable, thriving learning environment. We work with the Guild to share information, highlight issues affecting our campus, and engage our community in the conversations that shape our college.
Who Endorses for the Guild
Endorsements are made by Guild members—faculty, librarians, and counselors who serve as trusted leaders in our campus community.
Are You Running?
If you plan to run for a position in the upcoming cycle, please connect with the Guild before December 29, 2025.
How Can You Connect?
If you're running, simply complete our Candidate Interest Form. Once submitted, our Public Information Officer will contact you with next steps and details about the endorsement process.
Your Guild membership is not automatic! Fair share dues are deducted from all bargaining unit members, but you are only a member of the Guild if you join! Please use this Membership Application Form to join the Guild. Guild members have additional benefits, including voting rights for Guild officers and the collective bargaining agreement. Check for Meeting Dates on our www.glendale.edu/guild college website.
TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP!
This section refers solely to the Guild’s internal executive committee election and is not related to any public or governmental general election.
To ensure equity, the Guild Executive will introduce candidates running for our executive committee at the start of the April meeting by name and department, and all candidates for Guild Executive will have the opportunity to submit a written bio/statement to introduce themselves and explain why they believe they are the best candidate for a Guild Executive position. The Elections Chair will share the bio/statements with the membership, along with the announcement of the election.
The Guild does not require or expect candidates for the Guild Executive to campaign. Past practice has not included structured campaigning, and candidates should not feel pressured to do so.
If a candidate chooses to campaign beyond their bio/statement, they must adhere to the following:
Administrative Regulaton 3730 College Mass Communication
Administrative Regulation 3900 Speech: Time, Place, and Manner
Violations may lead to disqualification.
